Dynamo goalkeeper – about the match with Zorya in the 21st round of the Ukrainian Championship
Dynamo goalkeeper Georgiy Buschan commented on the course of the game and the result of the home match with Luhansk Zarya in the 21st round of the UPL, shared his expectations regarding the return of Bulyasky and Yarmolenko to the team, and also assessed the turf of the white-blue club stadium in difficult weather.
— Georgy, congratulations on your victory. Did Dynamo succeed in everything in the confrontation with Zarya?
– Thank you for your congratulations. I also congratulate our fans on their victory. As for the match, there was a bit of anti-football today. I mean, weather conditions. We were seriously looking forward to this meeting. We assumed that it would be a difficult fight and did everything to win.
— It snowed before the match. How did you take this factor into account before starting the game?
— During the warm-up, the turf was better, but as the match progressed we were able to adapt a little to it and tried to show our football.
— Several Dynamo players have been called up to the Ukrainian national team. Nobody took care of themselves before leaving for Bosnia and Herzegovina?
– Of course not. Today we played a calendar match as part of Dynamo Kyiv and only wanted to achieve victory. Tomorrow, Wednesday, we will turn our attention to the affairs of the Ukrainian national team.
— Did this victory cheer you up before heading to the national team?
– Undoubtedly. Any victory brings positive emotions, adds strength and confidence.
— This is not the first time you’ve brought Dynamo to a game with the captain’s armband. Is this additional responsibility?
– 100%. But the fact is that our captain was injured. I wish health to Vitaly Buyalsky and I want him to be able to help us after a two-week break in the Ukrainian Championship.
— All fans are expecting Andrei Yarmolenko to return to action. Does Dynamo need his experience?
– Without a doubt. When Andrei is in the squad, all teammates know that he can make a difference on the football field.
— Were you afraid of repeating the scenario of the game in Rivne? The score was 1:0 for a long time.
— We didn’t think about the bad. It was important to keep a clean sheet in defense. We had confidence that with the score 1:0, we would be able to score more.
— How was the game played with quite an impressive number of fans in the stands of the stadium?
– Firstly, I want to say words of gratitude to our soldiers from the ZSU. Thanks to them, we can play in a relatively safe place. Of course, we need the support of our fans. We enjoy playing for our fans.
