Figure skaters Mishina and Gallyamov took care of a cormorant at the Leningrad Zoo

Russian figure skaters Anastasia Michina And Alexander Galliamov took care of a great cormorant from the Leningrad zoo, reports a correspondent on site.

Gallyamov and Mishina won the World and European Championships and became two-time bronze medalists at the 2022 Olympics. Gallyamov and Mishina train with Tamara Moskvina.

— The cormorants apparently watched our performances. This is how they catch fish so that there are benefits everywhere. The choice is interesting on our part, Nastya and I thought about the choice and decided to approach this issue in an unconventional way. We had another interesting option, it was also a bird. After the competition, we flew to St. Petersburg and made a decision about the plane. We don’t regret our choice, it’s cute,” reports Gallyamov, correspondent.

Mishina noted that they had a small selection of animals that could be taken care of, but they decided to choose the cormorant.

— We have a busy schedule, it’s very difficult to walk the dog. But watching cormorants is cool. We had a small selection of animals to choose from and decided that the cormorant was a very interesting option. I was imagining what a cormorant looked like, but in my head, for some reason, it was white (laughs). In the future, we may want to take someone else under our wing,” Mishina added.
