Bekh-Romanchuk reached the final of the 2022 World Cup in the long jump

Earlier, the Ukrainian took 11th place in the triple jump.

Ukrainian Marina Bekh-Romanchuk qualified for the final competitions in long jump on the 2022 World Championships in Athleticswhich takes place in the American Eugene.

In the first qualifying attempt, Bekh-Romanchuk jumped 6.81 m. The standard for reaching the final is 6.75 m, so the Ukrainian automatically qualified for the final stage.

The long jump finals will take place on the night of July 24-25. The beginning is at 3:50 Kyiv time.

Beh-Romanchuk is the silver medalist of the 2019 World Championship in Doha. The Ukrainian finished second in the long jump with a score of 6.92m.

Earlier, at the world championship in Eugene, Bekh-Romanchuk performed in the final in the triple jump. Marina took 11th place with a score of 13.91m.

Ukraine won two medals at the 2022 World Championships, both in the high jump. Bronze in the men’s competition was won by Andrei Protsenko, silver among women was won by Yaroslava Maguchy.
