Earlier, Tarasova, speaking about the disqualification of figure skater Kamila Valieva for violation of anti-doping rules, argued that only her coach could provide the athlete with a banned substance.
In response, Tutberidze published a message on one of the social networks in which she called Tarasova’s words “deliberate slander” and demanded an official apology.
Tarasova said in response that she “would be happy to apologize” if the truth becomes clear about how the banned drug ended up in Valieva’s body.
“Honestly, I’m tired of discussing this statement by Tutberidze. I don’t want to comment on it anymore. Everything has already been said,” Tarasova, 77, stressed.
- Rodnina: “Tutberidze bears some responsibility in the Valieva affair, we cannot blame her alone”
