And recently, WADA Director General Olivier Niggli emphasized that there is no direct evidence that would confirm Tutberidze’s direct guilt in the doping scandal.

And then Tatyana Tarasova unexpectedly spoke on television. The most experienced coach made a sharp statement in which she criticized Tutberidze’s coaching team.

“Not a single skater will take a pill from the hands of a doctor. Only from a coach. It cannot be otherwise. We don’t do anything without a coach,” Tarasova said.

It is clear that Tutberidze considered these remarks as accusations against her. As a result, Valieva’s coach demanded an apology from Tarasova.

“I don’t want to get dirty in this mud. However, there are false accusations and slander here. You can’t blame everything on age. I expect an apology from Tatiana Anatolyevna,” Tutberidze wrote on the social networks.

Whether that apology will follow is of course a big question. Co-owner of the Academy “Plyushchenko’s Angels”, producer Yana Rudkovskaya believes that Tarasova did not say anything terrible.

Olympic diving champion and now sports journalist Elena Vaitsekhovskaya also said that Tarasova had no reason to apologize to Tutberidze.

“I don’t understand why Tarasova should apologize. Tatiana Anatolyevna formulated an important thing: an athlete has no right to take any medicine, pill, mixture in any way other than with hands (or with approval) from one’s own coach. From a sporting point of view, this rule does not require proof, “said Vaitsekhovskaya.

Tarasova herself quickly announced that she was ready to apologize. The specialist, however, set a condition.

“If they provide me with evidence of how this actually happened, I will gladly apologize,” Tarasova clarified.
