Fitness trainer Chernomorets Igor Kasyanenko did not return to Ukraine with the team from the training camp in Turkey. It is reported that Kasyanenko fled to the United States.
The specialist traveled to Turkey with a special permit issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. There he left the Odessa team and went to the USA. Kasyanenko is being investigated for violating travel regulations during wartime conditions.
The Odessa club issued an official statement, saying, “a ticket for Kasyanenko was purchased, but it was not on the plane at the time of departure.”
“The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine has been informed about this case. All details have been brought to the attention of the responsible structure. The management of FC Chernomorets condemns this act of its former representative. But there is no way to influence such a decision, although there was an attempt at adequate dialogue on the part of the club – in response they were faced with a person’s dishonesty.
However, the club may influence the future career of the fugitive. The management of FC Chernomorets initiated the process of revoking Kasyanenko’s coaching license. Anyone who deceived the club, its immediate manager, the team’s head coach (Kasyanenko came to Chernomorets at the beginning of 2022) does not have the right to remain in football. Those who hired Kasyanenko should know about his ability to betray.”
Chernomorets is in 10th place in the UPL with 23 points. In the next match, Grigorchuk’s team will play against Veres on March 17.
