The Bournemouth defender scores his Premier League debut
Defender Bournemouth And Ukrainian national team Ilya Zabarny commented on his debut goal in the Premier League, which he scored in a match with Luton (4:3).
“It’s incredible. When you’re down 0-3 in the first half, it’s very difficult to switch gears because you concede 3 goals and it’s draining, of course.”
“But we have a great team, we reacted quickly and analyzed our mistakes, we just started fighting in the second half and did it. We lost several duels when our opponents scored. So we adjusted our tactics a little and started winning duels.”
“My family is at the stadium today and, of course, it’s a great goal. I don’t score a lot of goals, but I want to do it as often as possible. It’s important to me that my family is here. This is for them and our country, because I know that my people are watching me and I am very proud to be part of Ukraine. I wish my people all the best.”
“Of course we won’t stop, we need to come back and repeat what we do because we need to start getting points and be as high as possible. I know the quality of this team and I think we can finish in the top half of the table.”
“Soon there will be a very important game for all Ukrainians against Bosnia and Herzegovina. I will do everything I can because we need to win and get to the Euros.”
Zabarny scored his team’s second goal in the match against Luton. Note that the Cherries were losing after the first half with a score of 0:3, but managed to snatch victory.
Bournemouth are in 13th place in the Premier League with 35 points. In the next match, Zabarny’s team will meet with Everton of Ukrainian Vitaly Mykolenko on March 30.
