Ski coach Yuri Borodavko explain why Alexander Bolshunov participated in the Demino Marathon.
The three-time Olympic champion won the Demino 50 km freestyle marathon, which took place in Rybinsk.
“We considered it one of the long training sessions. In Demino, the terrain is quite simple, the movement is good, the speeds are high, you really have to work on it the last 12-15 kilometers. The entire previous part of the distance allowed us to walk at a moderate pace, Borodavko said, as quoted by RT.
The Russian cross-country skiing championship will take place from March 16 to 24 at the Malinovka sports complex in the Arkhangelsk region.
