Jima has the best result among Ukrainians – 27th place
Norwegian biathlete Ingrid-Landmark Tandrevold won Small crystal globe in women’s sprint races World Cup 2023/24.
She only needed 17th place in the sprint at the final stage of the season in Canmore, Canada, to maintain her lead in the sprint standings. In the end, the Frenchwoman Justine Brezat-Boucher (8th place in Canmore) was 10 points behind her. The winner of the Canadian race, Lisa Vittozzi (Italy), ended up third in the sprint standings.
The best among Ukrainians was Julia Jima — 27th place. Anastasia Merkushina took 39th place, followed by Irina Petrenko (47th place) and Kristina Dmitrenko (61st).
Tandrevold won her second Small Crystal Globe in her career and her first in this discipline. At the end of the 2020/21 season, the Norwegian became the best in the mass start standings.
Let us remind you that following the results of the stage in Holmenkollen, the Small Crystal Globes in individual races were won by the Norwegian Johannes Boe and the aforementioned Vittozzi.
Tomorrow, March 15, the men’s sprint will take place in Canmore. Starts at 18:40 Kyiv time.
