Dmitry Sautin remembers the most difficult Olympics of his career

Double Olympic diving champion Dmitri Sautin explained which Olympics were the most difficult for him to compete in.

Sautin competed in five Olympic Games, where he won two gold, two silver and four bronze medals. In 2000 in Sydney, he won the synchronized diving from the platform and three-meter springboard, and also won bronze in the individual diving from the springboard and three-meter platform. Sautin celebrates his 50th birthday on Friday.

— I can’t believe it, it seems to me that I have 35 (years) of heart. Time passes, I have health, thank God.

The most difficult Olympic Games are those in Sydney. I skipped 10 days in a row, I thought I wouldn’t survive the last round, but I did. I had a periosteum injury, my leg and arm were bandaged, I still had to bandage my head, I would have looked like Chapaev. Thank God I did it and won four medals,” Sautin said on .
