The coach’s last place of work was Marseille
New mentor Lazio should become Igor Tudor.
It is reported that the parties will enter into an agreement until the summer of 2025 with the option of extending for another season. An official announcement of the deal is expected soon.
Tudor previously coached Verona, and the former Juventus footballer is also known for his work with PAOK, Galatasaray and Udinese. His last place of work was Marseille, which the coach left at the end of last season.
Lazio recently parted ways with head coach Maurizio Sarri. The coach independently resigned from his position, despite the contract until the summer of 2025. Sarri’s resignation was officially accepted by club president Claudio Lotito.
The Eagles lost their last match at home to Udinese (1:2). Previously, the team dropped out of the Champions League, losing to Bayern. The Rome club have suffered five defeats in their last six matches in all competitions.
Lazio is ninth in Serie A with 40 points. The Eagles’ next match will be away to Frosinone on March 16.
