Figure skater Arseny Fedotov said he was not going to reveal the secret of his results in the 2023/24 season.
Fedotov performed a free skate in the Russian Junior Grand Prix final on Friday and scored 276.13 points in two performances.
— How do you manage to perform like that, reveal your secrets.
— Winners don’t reveal secrets.
— How did you prepare for this final?
— I didn’t have this form before the Russian Championship, but now it’s better. I was confident in my abilities. The season is varied, there are a lot of tournaments, I really enjoyed it. This will probably be my last tournament this season.
—Do you analyze the performance of your main rival, Lazarev?
— I analyze everything and set myself goals, but I am focused on my performance. The rest depends on the cards.
— There are a lot of departures this season. How to distribute your forces?
— The more you perform, the more experience you have. THAT will help.
— The older guys talked about motivation issues. This doesn’t apply to you?
“I still have motivation,” reports Fedotov’s words.
The competition, which will take place in Sochi, will end on March 15. Later Friday, the skaters will perform their free skate.
