Prigoda finished third in the 50 breaststroke, sharing bronze with Danil Semyaninov.
Then the juniors were rewarded, and Prigoda presented his medal to Stepan Mikhailichenko, who became the third in junior swimming.
– There was a catch – it’s not every day that two people stand on the same step of the pedestal, and this medal is not the first for me. I didn’t want him to be left without her,” quoted Prigoda as saying.
The organizers then also awarded bronze to Prigoda.
Prigoda, 26, is a multiple winner of world championships, world and European short course champion, honorary master of sports of Russia.
