Ekaterina Karpyuk, Anastasia Bryzgina, Victoria Tkachuk and Anna Ryzhikova ran for the Ukrainian team
Ukrainian Anna Ryzhikova commented on the dramatic absenteeism of our team in women’s 4x400m relay final at the 2022 World Championships in Athletics in Eugene, USA.
“I am very proud of our team. We are all from different cities and different regions – east, center and west. We are all different, and each has overcome its own path. Each had its own obstacles, but I’m glad that we were able to put together a team.
“Usually after the races we look for some mistakes and determine who was better and who was worse. But now I want to say that I am proud of everyone who was in this team. There were no mistakes.”
“I know that everyone gave their best and even more. What result we have, we have such, but this is our result. I’m proud of the team, I’m proud of Ukraine. And the fact that we are here now is already a great achievement.”
Recall that our team lacked 0.14 seconds to reach the final in the 4 × 400 m relay.
