The former interim world champion dominated the ring and capitalized on his advantage late in the fight
Former interim world champion Joe Joyce (16-2, 15 KOs) defeated the British heavyweight by knockout Kesha Ali (21-3, 12 KOs).
The ten-round fight took place in Birmingham, England. Joyce took the initiative and began to completely dominate in the second half. By the end of the fight, Ali had run out of strength and couldn’t keep up with Joe’s actions.
In the final round, seconds before the end of the fight, Joyce sent his opponent to the canvas with a powerful blow. Ali stood up after the count of ten from the referee, who scored a knockout with seven seconds left in the fight.
Joyce scored his first win in almost a year and a half; Joe last won in September 2022 against Joseph Parker. Since then, Joyce has been defeated twice by Chinese heavyweight Zhang Zhilei, losing the WBO interim title.
