Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov won the skiathlon at the Russian Championship in Malinovka (Arkhangelsk region).
Bolshunov showed a result of 52 minutes 4 seconds. Silver was won by the winner of the Games Alexey Chervotkin (+0.2 seconds), bronze by Sergey Ardashev (+2.1).
For Bolshunov, 27, the victory was the 23rd in a row this season in individual races.
The Russian Championship takes place in Malinovka from March 16 to 24. On Tuesday, the tournament will feature classic-style events. Live broadcasts of the races on the TV channels “” and “Match! Arena”, as well as the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
