Girona lost to Getafe in the next round
Head coach Girona Michel commented on the defeat from Getafe in the 29th round match Examples (0:1).
“Dovbik’s goal drought is not a problem. The team has missed chances offensively and defensively as we play together. We played a good match, we forced the opponents to play in their half more than other opponents. We could have scored a goal and then the conversation would have been completely different.”
Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik entered the starting line-up for Girona and played the entire match, but failed to score. Note that the striker last scored at the end of January in a match with Sevilla.
Dovbik has played 31 matches for the club in all competitions this season. The Ukrainian has 15 goals and seven assists.
Girona is in second place in La Liga, 10 points behind leader Real Madrid. In the next round, the team of Dovbik and Viktor Tsygankov will take on Betis on March 31.
