Hendricks has previously expressed the opinion that she is “lucky” that Russian figure skaters do not participate in international competitions. However, she added that in her opinion she could win more medals if figure skating was “absolutely clean”.

“Hendrix better focus on herself, what she can do and what improvements she can make to compete with Russian figure skaters on the ice,” Tarasova noted in an interview with Match TV.
