Ukrainian men’s handball team lost Estonia in the second leg of the first phase of the second round of the playoffs and completed performances in the European qualification for World Cup 2025 — 33:41.

Let us remind you that in the first meeting on March 13, the blue-yellows lost away with a score of 29:33. The return match took place in Alytus, Lithuania.

Estonia generally controlled the game in the first half, constantly leading the score. However, by the break, Vadim Brazhnik’s team managed to achieve an equal score – 18:18.

At the start of the second half of the meeting, the intrigue remained. Ukraine took the lead four times, but subsequently the Baltic team improved and gradually began to increase their lead. The ending of the meeting was entirely up to the Estonians, the result was a second victory in a row and advancement to the next stage of qualification.

Ukraine once again failed to qualify for the World Cup. The last time the blue-yellows took part in the final stage of the world championship was in 2007.
