Kazansky “Zenith” defeated Novokuibyshevsk “Nova” in the match of the final, 30th round of the preliminary stage of the Russian Volleyball Championship among men’s teams.
The match in Kazan ended with a score of 3-0 (25:14, 25:13, 25:16) in favor of the hosts.
St. Petersburg “Zenith” beat the Surgut club “Gazprom-Yugra” at their venue – 3-0 (34:32, 25:17, 25:23), Kemerovo “Kuzbass” beat Novy Urengoy “Fakel” – 3 –0 (25:19, 25:23, 25:20). Lokomotiv Novosibirsk won away in five sets against Orenburg Neftyanik – 3-2 (22:25, 25:20, 18:25, 29:27, 15:12).
The regular season winner Zenit Kazan, along with Lokomotiv, Belogorye and Dynamo Moscow qualified for the playoffs. Four more participants in the playoffs will be determined based on the results of the qualifying round, in which St. Petersburg Zenit will play with the Gazprom-Yugra club, Kuzbass – with Novaya, Fakel – with Dynamo-LO (Sosnovy Bor) , Soligorsk Shakhtar – with Krasnoyarsk Yenisey.
