Russian Olympic champion in high jump Maria Lasitskene spoke about the sensational interview with tennis player Daria Kasatkina, noting that anyone can “do whatever they see fit, if it’s not illegal.”
Kasatkina earlier in an interview admitted to having a non-traditional sexual orientation and spoke out in favor of a change in sports citizenship.
– I know what was discussed in the interview with Kasatkina, but I did not watch it. I’m not into sports at all. I just know what it was. Each person must strive for their own happiness, without looking at anyone or anything. Do what he thinks is right. If it’s not illegal,” Lasitskene told reporters.
Kasatkina is 25, tennis player, winner of five WTA tournaments (including four singles), winner of the Billie Jean King Cup (2021) with the Russian national team.
