His son Christian could make his debut for the blue-yellows

Head of the Ukrainian Football Association Andrey Shevchenko will attend the upcoming match of the elite round of selection for Youth Euro 2024 between Ukraine And North Macedonia.

The match is scheduled for March 20 and will begin at 15:00 Kyiv time. This match could mark the debut of Shevchenko’s son, Christian, in the ranks of the blue-yellows.

Let us remind you that the Ukrainian U-19 team will play in the elite round of qualifying for the 2024 European Youth Championship with the teams of Switzerland, North Macedonia and Latvia. The matches of this qualifying stage will take place from March 18 to March 26, 2024. Only the winner of the quartet will receive a ticket to the final part of the continental championship.

Blue-yellow coach Dmitry Mikhailenko called up 20 players. Among them is the son of UAF President Andrei Shevchenko Christian, who recently received a Ukrainian passport, as well as Dynamo defender Alexey Gusev and Shakhtar midfielder Viktor Tsukanov.

Euro 2024 U-19 will take place in Northern Ireland from 15 to 28 July 2024. The continental championship will simultaneously serve as a UEFA selection for the 2025 World Cup (U-20).
