Krutykh made it to the main draw of the challenger in Croatia, Vanshelboim did not qualify

It took Alexey three sets and more than three hours to defeat his Spanish opponent

Two Ukrainian tennis players played in the final qualifying tournament ATP Challenger 75 in Zadar (Croatia). Alexey Krutykh beat the Spaniard in three sets Sergi Perez Contri and advanced to the main draw. Eric Vanshelboim lost to the Frenchman Evan Fursness.

Alexey, who found himself outside the top 400 in the world rankings for the first time in two years, needed more than three hours to defeat his unyielding opponent. The Ukrainian snatched victory in the first set, then lost the second game without much chance.

In the third set, Krutykh and Perez Contri took turns taking games until it came to a tiebreaker. There our compatriot acted more skillfully and converted the match point on the third attempt – 7:4.

At the same stage, Vanshelboim was unable to cope with an opponent from France, a representative of the seventh hundred in the ATP rankings. In the first game, Eric gave away three first serves, in return realizing only one break. In the second set, Eric won back a triple match point with the score 2:5, but only delayed the defeat for a short time.
