Ukrainian Sergei Bogachuk (23-1, 23 KO) will meet with Brian Mendoza (22-3-0, 16 KOs) March 30 in Las Vegas. The title will be on the line interim WBC junior middleweight champion.
Let us remind you that on this day Bogachuk was supposed to fight for a full championship belt against Sebastian Fundora. However, the fight fell through, as the American was appointed to replace Keith Thurman in the fight against Tim Tszyu. The fight between Fundora and Tszyu for the WBO super middleweight title will be the main event of the boxing evening in Las Vegas, in which Bogachuk will take part.
In his last fight, Bogachuk knocked out Ghanaian Patrick Allotey in the first round. For the Ukrainian, this was the second defense of the WBC Continental Americas title.
Mendoza lost to Tim Tszyu in his last fight in October 2023. Prior to this, Bryan knocked out Fundora in April 2023.
