Griezmann will miss France’s match with Germany due to injury

Antoine took part in 84 fights in a row for Le Bleu

Attack French national team player Antoine Griezmann will miss the test match against Germany due to an ankle injury. Called up to the national team instead of an Atlético player Matteo Guendouzi.

Griezmann ended his streak of 84 consecutive Les Bleu matches in which he took part. The last time the French national team played without Antoine in its lineup was in June 2017 in a sparring match with the English national team (3:2).

The forward was injured in Atletico’s match with Barcelona (0:3). The Frenchman was in the starting line-up and was replaced by Lino at half-time.

Griezmann has 127 matches for the national team, in which he scored 44 goals. This season, the Frenchman played 38 matches for Atlético, in which he scored 19 goals and provided seven assists.

France has qualified for Euro 2024, where its group stage opponents will be Austria, the Netherlands and one other team that will qualify through the knockout stages. The test match with Germany will take place on March 23.
