Granada appoint Jose Sandoval as new head coach

The Nasrids dismissed Alexander Medina

Granada fired the head coach Alexander Medina. Appointed new coach until the end of the season Jose Ramon Sandoval.

Medina has worked in Granada since November 2023. The Uruguayan replaced Paco Lopez in this position, under whose leadership the Nasrids played 12 matches without a win at the start of the season.

Sandoval previously headed Rayo Vallecano, Getafe, Sporting Gijon, Cordoba. The 61-year-old specialist’s previous team was Fuenlabrada.

Granada is in second-to-last place in La Liga with 14 points. The Nasrids are 13 points behind the 17th position, which allows them to maintain their place in the elite. In the next round, Sandoval’s team will play against another relegation contender, Cadiz.
