Russian cyclist Alexander Vlasov who was riding for the BORA‑hansgrohe team, took third place in the second stage of the Vuelta Catalunya stage race.
The length of the second stage was 186.5 km. Vlasov lost 1 minute 24 seconds to the winner, Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates). Spaniard Mikel Landa (Soudal Quick-Step) finished second.
In the general classification, after two stages, Vlasov occupies third position, 1 minute 38 seconds behind leader Pochagar.
The third stage of the stage race with a distance of 176.7 km will take place on Wednesday.
