Vice world champion among juniors Romain Savosin explained why he wouldn’t want to coach after finishing his figure skating career.
— I’m working on the tackles, nothing unusual. I mainly help the children in our junior group. It’s more about winnings. Little by little, I came to the conclusion that I don’t really like coaching. Not really mine.
I don’t want routine. The same thing, as in sports, continues after sports. Pretty much the same schedule, all these workouts I don’t like right now. That’s not what I would like. Although I may have once said I wanted to coach, now I say I don’t want to. Maybe something will change again and I will catch fire. This cannot be ruled out,” Savosin said, as quoted by the Championship.
Savosin is 24 years old. In the 2023/24 season he finished seventh at the Russian Championship and also won silver at two stages of the Russian Grand Prix.
