Russian swimmers do not need to obtain neutral status before meeting the qualification criteria for the Olympic Games; they can get it afterwards, World Aquatics told .
Russian swimmers will compete in Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 27-28. Their result can be considered a qualification for the Paris Games.
“They will be able to receive neutral status after meeting the qualification standards for the Games. There is no need to receive it before that,” the World Aquatics press service told .
The Paris Summer Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11.
