On Tuesday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at a press conference showed the flag under which Russian and Belarusian athletes will appear in neutral status at the Summer Games in Paris. It is made in turquoise color.

The IOC announced in December 2023 that it would allow Russian athletes who successfully qualified for the Olympics to have individual neutral status without a flag, anthem or other national symbol. On Tuesday, it was announced that the IOC executive committee did not allow Russian athletes to participate in the athletes’ parade at the opening ceremony of the Games in Paris. The organization also said that, according to the most likely scenario, 36 Russian athletes will participate in the 2024 Olympic Games, who will have to sign a special document.
