The midfielder opened the scoring in the qualifying match for the 2024 European Youth Championship
Youth midfielder Ukrainian national team Daniil Krevsun commented on the victory over North Macedonia U-19 in the elite round qualifying match European Championship 2024.
“I think the team played a very good game, everyone did their best on the football field. Today we can still rejoice, but from tomorrow we must forget about it. Our job is not done yet, our goal is to get out of this group.”
“I’m very happy that I managed to score and help the team win this game. But our work is not finished yet, so we will already prepare for the next game.”
The Ukrainian U-19 team confidently beat North Macedonia (2:0) and topped the group of the 7th elite round of qualifying for Euro 2024. Krevsun scored the team’s first goal just before the break. In the second half, Matvey Ponomarenko increased the blue-yellows’ advantage.
In the next round, Ukraine will play against Latvia U-19 on March 23. The selection will end with a match with Switzerland on March 26. The winner of the group will advance to the European Championships.
