The All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV) will begin work on organizing a friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Serbia, vice-president of the federation Gennady Shipulin told .
Previously, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation had this idea. Oleg Matytsin citing as an example the countries’ cooperation in organizing a football match in Moscow.
— Such a rapprochement is obviously possible. The Serbs and I have spent our entire lives side by side in the field. Everything is possible. We have to organize matches not only with the Serbs, but also with the Asian teams. And those who push us aside today will come back to us later.
— Will the Federation start working on organizing the Russia-Serbia match?
– Yes of course. We need to work and train a new galaxy of volleyball players in order to gain experience and improve further. I hope the clear sun will clear the temporary clouds,” Shipulin told .
A friendly match between the football teams of Russia and Serbia will take place on March 21 at the Dynamo Stadium in Moscow, the match will start at 20:00.
