Bournemouth sporting director Richard Hughes will join the Reds on June 1 and will influence the team’s transfers
Ukrainian defender Bournemouth Ilya Zabarny – potential target Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Cherries sporting director Richard Hughes will join the Reds from June 1st. It is expected that the functionary will deal with the transfer of at least three Bournemouth players who could be useful to Liverpool. Among them is a 21-year-old Ukrainian defender, who in the future could replace Virgil van Dijk.
Hughes was the initiator of Zabarny’s transfer to Bournemouth in January 2023. The Cherries paid Dynamo around £24 million for the player. Now the football player’s value is estimated at at least 34 million.
Zabarny is an undisputed starter for Bournemouth this season. The Ukrainian played 33 matches for Vishen in all competitions, scoring one goal. In all Premier League matches, Ilya played without substitution from the first to the last minute.
Bournemouth are in 13th place in the English Championship. Liverpool is in second place in the Premier League, behind Arsenal in additional indicators.
