Ukraine finished the World Cup with two medals
Ukrainian Marina Bekh-Romanchuk took 8th place in the final long jump competition 2022 World Championships in Athleticswhich ended in the American Eugene.
In the best attempt, the Ukrainian jumped 6.82 m and showed the 8th result. She lagged behind third place by only 7 centimeters. Note that four out of six jumps by Bekh-Romanchuk were not counted due to a spade.
Malaika Mihambo from Germany became the world champion for the second time in a row with a score of 7.12 m.
Earlier, at the world championship in Eugene, Bekh-Romanchuk performed in the final in the triple jump. Marina took 11th place with a score of 13.91m.
Ukraine won two medals at the 2022 World Championships, both in the high jump. Bronze in the men’s competition was won by Andrei Protsenko, silver among women was won by Yaroslava Maguchy.
