Yaremchuk: We need to prove it every time, score goals and benefit the team

Roman became the “Left of the match” in the game with Bosnia and Herzegovina

Forward of the Ukrainian national team Roman Yaremchuk summed up the results of the victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina (2:1) in the semi-finals of the qualifying playoffs for the 2024 European Championship.

“Of course, it’s very nice, thanks to the fans. We must continue and I hope this is not the last time. We need to prove ourselves every time, score goals and benefit the team.”

“It was difficult to get into the game. But it’s good that it all ended this way. I am glad to go to Poland in a good mood and prepare for the next match. I think there will be enough time for recovery. We are all professionals, we look only forward.”

Roman appeared on the field in the 81st minute. Four minutes later, Yaremchuk scored a goal after an assist from Efim Konoplya, and in the 88th minute the forward assisted Artem Dovbik. The forward was recognized as “Left of the match” with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the qualifying final, Sergei Rebrov’s team will play against Iceland. The nominally home match for Ukraine will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, on March 26.
