The Ukrainian Olympic team will play sparring with the Japanese on March 25
Midfielder Olympic team of Ukraine Alexander Nazarenko spoke about a future friendly match against the Japanese team.
“The Japan U-23 team is a very strong team. We have seen many matches with her participation. The team is very organized, fast and well prepared tactically. But we are also determined to show our best football. We want to give positive emotions to the fans of Ukraine,” Nazarenko said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Olympic team arrived in the Japanese city of Kitakyushu. Defender Andrei Buleza, who injured his knee in training, did not fly out with the team.
The test match with the Japan U-23 team will take place on March 25 in Kitakyushu. The meeting starts at 12:15 Kyiv time.
The Ukrainian national team will play at the 2024 Olympics with Argentina, Morocco and the team that will take third place at the 2024 Asian Youth Cup. In the first round, Rotan’s team will meet the Asian team on July 24.
