Athletistic/ Figure skating. Honored coach of the USSR Tatiana Tarasova commented on Ilya Malinin’s victory at the 2024 World Championships.
The tournament took place from March 20 to 24 in Montreal (Canada).
“I don’t understand why we should discuss Malinin. He is a genius! We can only admire him. He showed the best performance in the history of figure skating,” Tarasova was quoted as saying by Sport24.
Malinin was able to perform 6 quadruple jumps in his free program. Recall that at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, Russian Alexandra Trusova completed 4 quadruple jumps. As a result, “Russian Rocket” won silver.
