Athletistic / Others. The vice-president of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Denis Soloviev, has expressed his dissatisfaction with UEFA’s different positions towards Russia and Israel.
Since February 28, 2022, the Russian national team has been under an international ban due to events in Ukraine. Israel continues to perform on the international stage and has not suffered any sanctions, despite the events in the Gaza Strip.
“UEFA’s relations with Russia and Israel are a pure double standard. I understand everything about them. Precisely because I understand everything about them, I don’t expect anything from them. It’s strange to expect anything from these people if their decisions are conditioned only by the political will of third parties,” Soloviev told Sport-Express.
