“I am concerned about the Paris Olympics in 2024. They could become a prime target for terrorists. Several factors could now push terrorists to attack during the Summer Olympics. These include the existence of sleeper cells in Europe, as well as ongoing tensions between Israel and the Gaza Strip.” said the New York Times quoting former UN counterterrorism official Edmund Fitton-Brown.
On March 22, in Krasnogorsk (Moscow region), a terrorist attack took place in the Crocus City Hall concert hall before a performance by the rock band Picnic. He has already killed 137 people. March 24 has been declared a national day of mourning in Russia.
