“The IOC will continue to attack us. They don’t like the Friendship Games if they now send directives to all countries and all national Olympic committees asking them to refuse to participate in these competitions,” said Rodnina to RIA Novosti.
The Friendship Games will take place from September 15 to 29 in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. Previously, the IOC had accused Russia of politicizing world sport and called on athletes and federations to boycott this competition.
