The Ukrainian U-19 national team beat Switzerland and qualified for the 2024 European Youth Championship

Gennady Sinchuk opened the scoring and Matvey Ponomarenko scored a double.

Ukraine U-19 national team crushed Switzerland U-19 and went out to European Youth Championship 2024 – 3:0.

Both teams came into the decider with two wins and were fighting for first place. In the first half of the meeting, no one managed to achieve an advantage.

The blue-and-yellows scored twice in the middle of the second half. Gennady Sinchuk opened the scoring, and five minutes later Matvey Ponomarenko increased the Ukrainians’ lead. Later, Ponomarenko scored a double.

The Ukrainian team won Group 7, scoring the maximum nine points. Let us remind you that in the first round, Dmitry Mikhailenko’s team defeated North Macedonia (2:0), and then defeated Latvia (3:0).

Euro 2024 U-19 will take place in Northern Ireland from 15 to 28 July 2024. The continental championship will simultaneously serve as a UEFA selection for the 2025 World Cup (U-20).
