Athletistic/ Figure skating. 2002 Olympic champion Alexei Yagudin told how he now communicates with figure skater Kamila Valieva.
Previously, Valieva was disqualified for 4 years for violation of anti-doping rules.
“Do I communicate with Valieva after this scandal? What, she’s not a person? Everything is the same as before. A strange question,” Yagudin from Championship quotes.
Before that, Valieva was not only disqualified, but also deprived of all medals won during her adult career.
Valieva will be able to return to the ice no earlier than December 2025. Currently, Russian figure skaters are suspended from international competitions.
