The Russian Cycling Federation (RFC) has announced the cancellation of road competitions in the Republic of Crimea in 2024.
— We inform you that due to the increased level of the terrorist threat and restrictions imposed on the holding of sports competitions, including cycling races on the highway, the holding of competitions planned for 2024 on the territory of the Republic of Crimea becomes impossible.
We are currently considering the possibility of postponing the canceled competitions, which we will inform you about later,” the press service said in a statement.
In Crimea, in April, the Russian championship among men in the “50-60 criterion” discipline and a number of other competitions were to take place.
