Olympic ski relay champion Veronica Stepanova said that she did not want to be called the leader of the Russian team.
Stepanova, 23, won three gold medals at the last Russian Championship.
— I don’t understand what kind of title this is: “team leader”? There are specific competitions, to win them there are prizes and public attention through television. Is “Team Leader” a temporary crown? In this case, what does it look like and what is it for? I also need victories selectively, and I certainly don’t need empty titles,” Stepanova wrote on the Telegram channel.
