Athletistic/OI-2024. State Duma Deputy Nikolai Valuev responded to the statement of the President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation of Russia Irina Viner regarding the lack of forgiveness of the Russian people towards athletes going to the Olympic Games.

“We can assume that an overwhelming majority will not support the participants of this event. It is too humiliating. The moment is extremely unfortunate, one could say that it is not at all appropriate,” Valuev stressed in a interview with Sportivnaya Gazeta.

The Summer Olympic Games in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Russian and Belarusian athletes will participate in these games exclusively in neutral status, without the possibility of representing their flag and performing the anthem of their country.
