The WBA International heavyweight belt will be at stake in the fight with Kubrat Pulev
Ukrainian boxer Igor Shevadzutsky (10–1, 8 KO) commented on the upcoming fight with the Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KO).
“I am from Ukraine, and you know that there is a war going on there now. I want to thank everyone who helps my country. I also thank my family, friends and coach for making this fight happen. We are free people and we believe that we will win.”
“I also want to thank my team for the chance to be here. Also thanks to Kubrat and the organizers. Most of all to my coach, my family, all my friends. I also want to thank God because he shows us the way and I am following this path.”
The fight will take place in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, at the Sofia Arena and will take place on March 30. The WBA International heavyweight belt is at stake.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian will replace WBA Regular champion Manuel Charra (34-4, 20 KOs) in the fight. The German boxer underwent surgery on his biceps, which is why he will not be able to enter the ring against Pulev.
Shevadzutsky had his last fight in February, defeating German representative Edonis Berisha (7–1, 6 KOs). Thus, Shevadzutsky was rehabilitated for the defeat by Martin Bakole, which he suffered in April last year.
Pulev defeated Pole Andrzej Wawrzyk by unanimous decision in December 2023.
