Mike Tyson may be pulled from fight with Jake Paul due to health reasons

At the request of the organizers, Iron Mike will have to undergo EEG and ECG tests

Return of the Famous Mike Tyson into the ring may not take place due to the possible inadmissibility of the legendary boxer to an exhibition fight with Jake Paulscheduled for July 20.

Given the legend’s advanced age (Tyson will be 58 years old at the time of the fight), the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TLDR) will require Mike to undergo special medical tests in order to allow him to participate in a fight under professional boxing rules.

In particular, according to the TLDR rules, athletes over 36 years of age must undergo an electroencephalogram (EEG) and an electrocardiogram (ECG) to obtain the appropriate permit. In the specific case of Tyson, additional tests and analyzes may be required.

The fight between one of the most prominent champions in heavyweight history, Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) and famous YouTube blogger and boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs), is scheduled to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Texas, USA.

In recent months, Iron Mike has been known to help former UFC champion Francis Ngannou prepare for his fight with WBC world champion Tyson Fury. As a result, the Cameroonian pretty much crushed the Briton and even knocked down his opponent, but still lost by a split decision.

In November 2020, Tyson had an exhibition fight with former world champion in five weight categories, Roy Jones. The match ended in a draw. On the undercard of the event, Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson.

Tyson had his last professional fight in 2005. Mike lost by TKO in the sixth round to Irishman Kevin McBride.
