Last year Alexey became the European champion in team competitions and synchronized jumping
Ukrainian Alexey Sereda won the nomination “Best Athlete of the Year in Men’s Diving” following the annual ceremony European Aquatics Awards-2023.
44% of federation representatives and 41% of fans voted for the 18-year-old athlete. The Ukrainian was ahead of Briton Anthony Harding and Moritz Wesemann from Germany.
Last year, Alexey won gold at the 2023 European Games in team competitions and in synchronized diving from the 10-meter platform. The Ukrainian also received silver at the World Championships in synchronized diving.
Sereda was nominated for the title of best diver in Europe for the second time. In 2022, the Ukrainian took second place after the Briton Jack Lafer.
