The Rivne club continues to fight to save its registration in the UPL
Acting head coach Veres Oleg Shandruk commented on the defeat from Krivbass (0:2) in the 22nd round of the Ukrainian Premier League.
“A sending off always affects the game, especially against a strong opponent. We really understood that after this we needed to be patient. Unfortunately, we quickly conceded an own goal, here I would like to support Sasha Kucherenko. He played a good match overall. If we had survived the first 15 minutes of the second half, we could have hoped for a more positive result.”
“Later on we changed the tactical scheme, took more risks, put more pressure. Thank you guys for this. We wanted to save the game, but, unfortunately, we missed the second time. We still have to watch the second goal. It seemed to me that before Lunev scored, there was a foul on Kurko in the center of the field.”
“We have some kind of specific field. It’s good, but there are problems with it. Everyone falls often: both us and our opponents. Our guys carefully select the studs for their boots to suit the field, but we have what we have.”
Veres is in 14th position in the UPL standings. In the next round of the Ukrainian championship, Shandruk’s team will play with the capital Obolon on April 6.
