Midfielder Dynamo and withBorn of Ukraine Vladimir Brazhko spoke about his debut for the national team.
“If on the first day, when I woke up, I thought it was a dream, now there is already awareness. But for now we need to fulfill our tasks at Dynamo first, and after the championship is over we will think about the Euro.”
“First, my agent called me and said that I was going to the national team for a few days, training, and then returning to the youth team. But a few days later he announced that I was going to a full training camp for the main team. I was very happy and really looked forward to this moment.”
“The level of the national team is simply top, it’s nice to be on the same team with guys who play in the top leagues of the world, but at the same time remain simple and sociable. Now I want to gain a foothold in the team and show myself.”
22-year-old Brazhko made his debut for the Ukrainian national team in the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina (2:1) in the playoffs of the European Championship qualification. Later, the midfielder played the entire decisive qualifying match against Iceland (2:1).
The Ukrainian national team will play in Quartet E with Belgium, Slovakia and Romania in the group stage of the European Championship. Sergei Rebrov’s team will play the first match against Romania on June 17. Ticket sales for the blue-yellow matches at Euro 2024 are also open.
Dynamo is in fourth place in the UPL. Alexander Shovkovsky’s team will play the next match against Vorskla on March 31. The meeting starts at 15:30.
